Harley Davidson fans will be in for a treat in 2012. The firm has announced it will be releasing a special edition Night Rod Special that promises to be a truly powerful and stylish machine.
The Night Rod Special will be almost completely black, giving it an incredibly powerful and almost sinister look. It will have a 1250cc engine producing 125 horsepower, making it one of Harley Davidson's most powerful models. It will also feature a "tapered tail section, lighter-weight wheels, and improved ergonomics with reduced reach to both the rider footpegs and handlebar." The engine features a liquid-cooled V-Twin with dual overhead camshafts, four-valve cylinder heads and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI).
The Night Rod Special will boast superior handling and comfort levels with a sturdy chassis. Among its impressive list of features will be high-performance Brembo dual-disk brakes with optional ABS and fantastic road grip, handling, performance and durability thanks to Michelin Scorcher tyres. It also features an Assist and Slip clutch, carbon fibre belt drive and five speed transmission.
