As a massive fan of Vauxhall, I'm always excited to hear about new models coming on to the market. I once owned a gorgeous bright red Vauxhall Corsa that was my absolute pride and joy, but sadly we had to part ways a couple of years ago. My other half has also always been a fan and has owned a couple of Vectras in the past.
You know what you are getting with a Vauxhall. They are solid cars with nice styling and comfortable interiors. Vauxhall recently announce a new car to be released in 2012. It is expected to be called the Vauxhall Mokka and is an SUV that will rival the Nissan Juke and Skoda Yeti.
The Mokka will be based upon the Buick Encore, but will have minor cosmetic changes and different engines. The two cars will have different headlights, bumpers and grilles but the overall shape will be the same. There will also be a Chevrolet version that will be more like the Vauxhall version tha the Buick.
Buick have been releasing sections of a picture of the new car one piece at a time. (A bit like the TV show Catchphrase if you're old enough to remember that one!) The final piece of the jigsaw will be unveiled when the Encore makes its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in just one week's time.
Sources at Vauxhall have said that that the car has already been tested on UK roads, and that the car will be available in both front-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive. It is thought that the Vauxhall Mokka will be debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March and with luck will be available to buy soon after!
