When you're looking to buy a used car, what springs to mind is probably not a Jaguar XK, but if you've got the money, why wouldn't you? Granted, the vast majority of us definitely do not have the money, but as they say; you can't take your money with you, so let's all blow our savings on a new (used) Jaguar!
The XK was around back in 1996, but I didn't notice it until it had its dramatic facelift, along with its big brother the XF, in 2006. It was designed by Ian Callum and was unveiled in 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, no doubt to gasps of wonder and joy.
The XK was the catalyst that put Jaguar back in the limelight and brought it back into the 21st Century. It's sleek and modern, yet unmistakably a Jaguar. This is one car that will cause heads to turn, and even a wallflower like me might even be tempted to turn and wave to my fans.
The XK is available in coupe or convertible form. The convertible was created alongside the coupe, so has an equally quality build and is just as sturdy. The XK is one of the most exciting cars Jaguar has ever made. Poised and comfortably to drive (so I'm told), the XK even has room for two passengers in the back.
Inside, the XK features some clever gizmos such as a gear selector that rises out of the centre console when you press the red starter button. It also the most simple and user-friendly touchscreen entertainment and sat nav system you'll find.
