It has recently been announced that Citroen will be releasing a new special edition Citroen C3 Picasso. The C3 Picasso was first introduced in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show and was released in the UK in April 2009. It is a mini-MPV version of the C3 and has five seats making it a great family car. The rear seats can fold down to create a 500 litre boot, perfect for storing the weekly shop or taking the family away on holiday.
The special edition version of the popular car will be called the C3 Picasso Code, and will replace the outgoing Blackcherry special edition. The Code is based on the HDi 90 Manual VTR+ C3 Picasso and has features found in this model including air conditioning, Bluetooth with USB socket, cruise control with speed limiter and curtain airbags.
What it also has that the regular model does not, however, is a special Look Pack. This adds chrome bumper inserts, gloss black painted door handles with chrome inserts, Obsidian Black front and rear bumpers with matching door mirrors, black vent surrounds, longitudinal roof bars and special carpet mats.
The frugal C3 Picasso Code promises a combined fuel consumption of 61.4mpg and CO2 emissions of less than 120g/km, so road tax for the first year would be free. Buyers will have a choice of four body colours " Polar White, Cherry Red, Belle Ile Blue and Thorium Grey. The Cherry Red and Belle Ile Blue colours come with Polar White alloy wheels, while the Polar White and Thorium Grey come with Cherry Red alloys. Both are 17inch Clover alloy wheels.
Citroen C3 Kent dealers are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new special edition model; look out for it!
