I have been a sufferer of travel sickness for many years and whilst it may not be a serious illness, it can be very annoying. Over the years I have tried all types of suggestions in order to minimize the effects and I have compiled a short list of advice for those of you who might be seeking a solution to your own travel sickness.
If you are traveling by Land Rover Servicing Hinckley car there is one greater advantage than other types of transport, the option to get out. However this can make a short journey take forever so ensure that you are seated in the front of the car. If your child is a sufferer and also old enough travel in the front be prepared to swap places. Never ever read and open the windows as fresh air will reduce the effects of motion sickness. The driver should takes bends gently and regular intervals also help.
In the pas st I have severely suffered from sea sickness but it is possible to find the proverbial sea legs. During a weeks stay onboard a sailing yacht I managed to cure my sickness. I was sick for the first two days but after that I suffered no further symptoms. For shorter journeys it is advisable to stay in the he fresh air if possible and focus on the horizon.
If you are traveling by air then ask for a seat over the wing as this is were the aircraft is more stable. Tilting the head rest and closing your eyes can also help.
Unfortunately there is no hard and fat rule for curing the sickness. Some people usepressure bends or others swear by ginger. Whatever your choice of transport or remedy the best thing thing to do is try and relax. But as a fellow sufferer I know this can be easier said than done.
