Liverpool is a great city to visit if you want to soak up some culture. I moved to Liverpool in the 80's in an attempt to get away from the fast paced world of the capital city, London. I thought that if I moved further North my standard of living would improve due to the cheaper cost of housing and going out. In London, I worked at a garage selling used cars and my plan was to try and find work in the same sort of industry once I had moved to Liverpool. I was used to working in a sales role. I crammed all of my stuff into my car and started the long drive North to Liverpool from London. There were many other cars on the road.
It did not take as long as I thought it would to drive to Liverpool and before I knew it I was there. Once I was settled in, after perhaps a couple of days, I began searching for a job. I started by looking through all of the local newspapers and magazines but there did not seem to be much. I was walking to the local shop one day when I saw an advertisement in a shop window for a salesman at a Used Cars garage. I thought that this would suit me very well indeed and noted down the number. When I got to the nearest phone box I gave them a call and they told me to visit them for an interview that afternoon. I am happy to say that I was given the job. I have been selling Used Cars in Liverpool for years now and I am very happy. I am glad I made the decision to move to Liverpool all those years ago.
