Aston Martin had an extremely busy 2011 with the worldwide launch of several new models, and it doesn't look like 2012 will be much quieter for them.
During 2011, they launched the Virage, the compact new Cygnet and the special edition One-77 internationally. They also bought new versions of the V8 Vantage, Vantage S and Vantage S Roadster to the market too.
The Aston Martin Virage and the Vantage S were both launched to the Australian market so it will be some time before we see them in the UK. We will also have to wait a while longer until we see the special edition One-77, which has recently been ordered by an Australian motorist.
Just 77 of the One-77 models will be manufacturer, each costing just over a million pounds, making them very exclusive and highly sought after. This model is a true sports car and will be able to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just under 3 seconds for the ultimate in race car performance.
In 2012, Aston Martin will continue to focus their efforts in Australia when they launch the Cygnet, a compact city car, which is unlike any other model in their current line-up. This model has already been launched in the UK, and other European countries, where the response has been very mixed.
They will also launch the V12 Zagato which was seen competing in the 24hours Nurnurgring. Aston Martin opted to produce a road-going version of this model, which we should expect to see at some point in 2012...this model is so highly anticipated that 35 models have already been sold.
