2012 is set to be a tough year for the automotive industry with the current economic climate playing a key role.
In an effort to help increase sales and appeal to motorists looking to buy a new luxury car, Jaguar have announced that they will be launching an entry level XF Saloon " with a lower starting price.
The new Jaguar XF will be available from Jaguar dealerships in March 2012 and despite having a much lower starting price, it still features an excellent range of standard equipment.
Inside the cabin you will find a luxurious suede cloth with comfortable leather seats which create a sleek and sophisticated interior environment so that you and your passengers can really enjoy your drive ahead. The cabin also features a central-mounted touchscreen display which hosts a whole range of information to help make your journey stress-free. This new XF has an eight-speed automatic transmission and is powered by a 161bph engine which is based on their existing 2.2-litre, four cylinder turbodiesel engine.
The engine is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 9.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 130mph. It features the intelligent Stop/Start system which helps to cut fuel emissions as it automatically stops the engine when you are idle and then starts up again once the clutch is depressed " this helps to lower fuel consumption throughout your journey.
