Easy ways to request donations for charitable organization include the following: providing options for your prospective donors, setting up charity auctions, giving benefits to your contributors, and asking prospective donors to join other donors.

With the economic crisis still looming around, searching for financial donors would be a challenge. Nonetheless, you can still find donors around only waiting to be tapped at. With the right strategy, raising funds for your respectable organization will not be so hard in the end.

Offer choices for your prospective donors

Once you begin to ask for for donations from your prospective donors, you shouldn't stay with only one solid rule. You would be able to obtain more donations if you are versatile with each of your possible donor's situation and method of donating. For instance, a new dad may say that his own spending budget is limited with the baby in the family; but if you provide him a choice, say spreading the amount he can give for the entire year, you'll more likely walk away with money. One other way would be to show simple objects in exchange of a specific amount that's donated, like an umbrella for a $25 donation or perhaps a t-shirt for each donation of 50 dollars. Allow your potential donor to select a donation process based on what is most interesting or convenient to him.

Arrange a Charity Auction

Charity auctions are also another way to raise money for your organization. You may ask your own family, friends, and other people who want to be part of the fundraising action for things which are still in fine shape, but are no longer desired. Then, have a bidding activity for these objects. Start by identifying a good starting amount for each of the things, and disseminate information about the bidding activity that will happen to as many persons as you can within your location. When all the participants have gathered, you could start the bidding procedure.

Provide benefits to your donors

Most people will prefer to donate if there is something for them in exchange. So, never offer your prospective donors a phone call unless you know already what to offer them in exchange for their donations. For example, if you are planning to develop a playground for the children in your location, tell your possible donors that their kids can go to the playground and have fun anytime. Or if it's to deliver shelter for the abandoned, then probably you could offer your donors tax breaks. According to the purpose of your organization, don't miss letting the possible donor know what his donations can do for him, too.

Ask potential donors to join other contributors

You may also simply request donors, especially large businesses, to join other contributors for a fundraiser activity you plan to have. For example, if you plan to raise cash for an orphanage, you can ask a single big corporation to give a specific object, such as foot wears, for each certain amount which other contributors will give. Say for example, a set of rubber shoes for each twenty bucks you receive from other donors. Another company can also take charge of food or snacks for the orphaned children during the affair, or they could just give money and you could prepare the food for them. Companies and ordinary persons are more likely to contribute if there are other people who will take part in the activity.

It is vital that you are transparent to all your contributors regarding the financial activities of your own organization, as well as offer clear information on where the donations are going and have gone to. By doing this, your contributors would participate again in the future fundraising activities. Donors' trust must be preserved.
