Three years ago, at the age of 22, I left the RAF having served 4 years as an Avionics Technician and bought my first property in my home town of Bournemouth. With my experience of aircraft electronics and working occasionally with my dad, who is a qualified electrician, I decided to take my Electrical exams and I am now a fully qualified 17th edition electrician with Part P certification. As a tradesmen the wage is pretty good and the savings I had from the military gave me a good start on the property ladder.
Shortly after moving in the bills started to come, I was shocked by the price of all my utilities: home phone, line rental, energy bills, TV license, water and the many others! I decided something had to be done before these big companies bled me dry, so I started calling around all of my current suppliers trying to reduce some services and enquire about ending certain contracts. The phone calls took days! I was passed from one department to another, i spoke to call centres who barely understood English and waited in never ending queues. There was only so much I could take each day before frustration got the better of me and I needed a break.
Finally the end of the week came and I had removed channels from my TV package, removed an Internet bundle from my mobile phone and switched energy suppliers. This had made me much happier and I was now convinced I was receiving all that I required at the best price available.
A few months later whilst out riding my motorbike, a car pulled out of a junction and sent me flying through the air. I hit the ground with an unsuccessful landing which resulted in a broken leg and multiple torn ligaments in my right knee. Two operations and 6 weeks later I was lying at home, bedridden, feeling the need to find a new temporary job to pass the time and earn some money. Much research later I discovered a company called the Utility Warehouse. Utility Warehouse is a multi level marketing company which use independent distributors to recommend their services to others.
I became a distributor, started to lean all about the company and along the way I switched my home phone, broadband, gas, electricity and mobile phone services over to them. As they had no contracts, paid ?200 towards buying me out of current contracts and offered free global phone calls all day, every day, there was nothing to lose. I had to phone the call centre to solve an issue with the set-up of my broadband router and was amazed that the phone call was answered in just under a minute. The technical help was fantastic and the call centre is based in London with English speaking staff, was free to call and my issue was solved straight away.
Once all the services had gone live the first bill came through, which was once again amazing, Everything was itemised and on one bill with a reduction in price of over 30% compared to my previous services which were three of the major companies.
I immediately started recommending the services to many family and friends and was their personal distributor, helping them with any queries and questions they had. All quotes and paper work was done over the phone, perfect with my inability to drive and limited walking 4 months post OP.
I have now built a simple informative website about the company and now earn a very comfortable income doing a couple hours of recommending per day. If you would like to learn more about the Utility Warehouse which is operated by Telecoms Plus PLC then visit my website of call for a friendly chat.
